Sonico IO
Terms and Conditions
Current version. Last updated: September 11, 2026
These terms govern the use of Sonico IO by users, owners, buyers, sellers, and people who access devices through QR codes. By creating an account or using the platform, the user also accepts the privacy, payments, crypto self-custody, acceptable use, support, refunds, and operational security policies.
Scope and role of Sonico
Sonico IO provides the technology platform and manages operational collections and settlements. Depending on the listing, it may act as a direct seller or as an intermediary between buyers, owners, and independent sellers.
Before a transaction, each listing must identify the product or service, the provider, total price, currency, visible fees, availability, delivery, and relevant conditions. The electronic order confirmation preserves this information as evidence of the transaction.
Nothing in these terms limits non-waivable consumer rights recognized by applicable law. If a provision is invalid, the remainder continues in effect to the extent permitted by law.
The general channels for contact and claims are the public support form, which provides a tracking number, and WhatsApp. Tax and provider information is displayed in the applicable listing, receipt, or legal section.
Use of the platform
Sonico IO allows connected devices to be listed, managed, rented, sold, and purchased. Users declare that the information they provide is accurate and that they use the platform lawfully.
The owner is responsible for the physical installation, electrical safety, maintenance, availability, and permitted use of any listed device.
Users understand that devices depend on internet access, power, firmware, sensors, schedules, permissions, and external services. Delays, outages, restarts, reading errors, temporary unavailability, or maintenance may occur.
Privacy and personal data
Sonico may process account and contact information, sessions, devices, approximate location, activity, payments, support requests, KYC data when applicable, and technical records needed to operate and protect the platform.
Users agree that Sonico may use technical and security information to prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, attacks, disputes, and misuse of devices or services.
Sonico may retain technical logs, audit records, payment evidence, security events, IP addresses, user agents, and activity records for as long as needed for support, compliance, claims defense, and security.
Rentals, sales, and availability
Reservations and purchases are subject to technical availability, payment confirmation, the device schedule, connectivity, and anti-fraud controls.
Sonico may pause, cancel, or review a transaction in the event of a dispute, technical failure, suspicious activity, breach, or risk to users, devices, or third parties.
For new or used product purchases, receipt, delivery, product condition, and claims may affect the release of payment to the seller or owner.
For anonymous QR use, the payer may not have an identified account. Sonico may still record technical evidence of payment, time, device, approximate IP, and activation status for support and audit purposes.
Where required by law, consumers may exercise cancellation, warranty, return, or claim rights through the published channels. Confirming receipt does not waive rights that applicable law treats as non-waivable.
Payments, holds, and settlements
ARS payments may be collected by Sonico and settled to the owner or seller after the applicable holding period, less fees, adjustments, refunds, chargebacks, or disputes.
Settlement dates, fees, and statuses shown on the platform are the operational records used to calculate the amounts due to Sonico and to each owner, seller, or user.
The settlement period may change based on the current configuration, payment method, operational risk, chargebacks, claims, anti-fraud checks, or payment provider availability.
Owners and sellers must keep their payout destination current. When a settlement is marked as paid, Sonico retains the destination used, receipt, transaction hash, date, note, and status as operational evidence.
Sonico may hold, adjust, dispute, cancel, fail, or refund amounts when it detects an incorrect or duplicate payment, occupied device, expired order, undelivered product, abuse, fraud, technical error, or reasonable claim.
Held amounts do not earn interest or returns for the user and are not offered as a payment or investment account. The regulatory treatment of the collection, holding, and settlement model must be professionally validated before a public launch.
Crypto self-custody
When USDT, BTC, or other crypto assets are used, users understand that private keys associated with their accounts or devices may allow funds to be moved irreversibly.
Sonico is not responsible for loss, exposure, theft, incorrect rotation, missing backups, or misuse of recovery phrases, private keys, or addresses provided by the user.
Crypto transactions may be irreversible and depend on network fees, amount precision, confirmations, RPC services, explorers, congestion, correct addresses, and blockchain availability.
If a user reveals, copies, shares, or loses a recovery phrase or private key, anyone with access may move the funds. Users must keep backups outside Sonico and verify addresses before receiving or sending funds.
Sonico may display balances and on-chain movements, but this information may be delayed or depend on external providers. The on-chain record prevails over any temporary platform display.
Self-custody of a personal or device address is different from a commercial payment temporarily received in a Sonico operational address for reconciliation, dispute handling, and later settlement. Each transaction screen must identify the applicable destination and status.
Crypto assets may fluctuate in value and may not have the protections of regulated financial products. Sonico does not promise returns or provide investment advice.
Content, images, and media
Users declare that they have sufficient rights to any images, videos, text, advertisements, listings, or other material uploaded to or scheduled on devices, displays, cameras, marketplaces, or news posts.
Sonico may remove, block, or review content in response to claims, legal risk, prohibited content, malware, abuse, impersonation, sensitive material, or a breach of these terms.
Users must not upload illegal, misleading, discriminatory, prohibited sexual, or violent content; third-party sensitive data; credentials; private keys; sensitive financial information; malware; or material used without authorization.
Users operating displays, signs, cameras, kiosks, or similar devices are responsible for ensuring that displayed content complies with local rules, image rights, intellectual property, advertising, privacy, and the rights of third parties.
Acceptable use and security
Sonico must not be used to attack systems, bypass controls, manipulate third-party devices, publish illegal content, interfere with services, exploit vulnerabilities, or conduct activities that harm others.
Sonico may limit sessions, block IP addresses, pause accounts, revoke access, or preserve technical evidence in response to suspicious activity, abuse, brute-force attempts, fuzzing, fraud, or security incidents.
Users must not attempt to access endpoints, files, keys, tokens, logs, accounts, devices, wallets, private images, or administration panels that do not belong to them.
Sonico may use rate limits, audits, monitoring, temporary or indefinite blocks, honeypots, manual review, and other reasonable measures to protect users, funds, devices, and infrastructure.
Liability
The service operates on internet-connected infrastructure and may experience outages, delays, restarts, maintenance, or external incidents.
Sonico is not responsible for prohibited use, unsafe installations, unauthorized physical tampering, loss of private keys, or content uploaded without sufficient rights.
Users accept that Sonico does not guarantee continuous availability, profitability, complete absence of errors, recovery of crypto funds, operation of external services, or compatibility with every device, browser, or network.
Sonico applies reasonable security measures, but no connected system can guarantee zero risk from failures, malware, unauthorized access, or attacks. Incidents must be reported immediately through the public support form or WhatsApp.
Any limitation of liability applies only to the extent permitted by law and does not exclude mandatory obligations or non-waivable consumer rights.
Changes, suspension, and account deletion
Sonico may update these terms, fees, time periods, operating policies, and MVP features. Material changes may require renewed acceptance or may be communicated through the platform.
Users may request account closure or deletion through the available channels. Evidence, receipts, accounting records, security data, support records, or compliance information may be retained where required by law or legitimate interests.
